I use my trucks like trucks and I always get vinyl seats, vinyl floors, often manual windows, etc.
The latest work truck we bought was a 2015 Chevy 3500. It has vinyl seats and floors and a manual transfer case. I think the seats are quite comfortable. I don't drive naked so they don't seem too hot or cold too me.
My daily driver is an '05 Chevy I bought new with vinyl. It currently has 203,000 miles on it. The bottom of the driver's seat cracked and was recovered a few years ago. There is a small crack on the upper part of the driver's seat. The other seats which don't get used as much are like new.
Like some others I just don't get the need for all the gadgets and their associated price tag. My crew cab diesel 4wd dually was only $36,000 in '05. I think our latest work truck which is a double cab 4wd gas powered 3500 was only around $35,000. The prices on loaded trucks on the lots are just insane.
