I added a front hitch and generator rack on my truck and also needed "reminder" poles. I welded sleeves into my rack which I heavily modified to include supports that attach to my tow hooks to make it rock solid, added a 10" lift, etc. but I'm sure you could attach some sort of metric bolt coupler that these would thread into. Look at the fiberglass wire running kit, $10 at Harbor Freight that includes ten 39" rods. These come with male and female brass threads at either end so even just drilling and tapping the appropriate thread into your rack would probably be adequate. I cut the rods to the correct height for my situation and glued a red colored vinyl screw cap (ACE Hardware)on the cut end. For ten dollars ($8 and a free whatever with coupon) you will have eight spares. They are yellow and work great! They don't wiggle excessively while traveling but have plenty of give when bumped into in camp.
