Umm, the diesel emissions from a VW TDI is less then a gas car just based on my reduced gallons of use alone. Then add in the Urea and the 10% biodiesel in many areas and you're talking gibberish.
The point that you missed is that Europe attacked the problem by cleaning up their fuel. The U.S. decided to keep the dirty diesel fuel and add emissions garbage that often fails to do the job, is expensive and requires frequent repair. So yes emissions garbage.
The rest of your post is just soap box stuff lacking any credibility.
