Wall mount TV swivel

Use a stud finder, tap on the wall and see if anything is under the wood, and if all else fails, hang a photo over your mistake.

I wouldn't have any issues as I would think the manufacturer's markings are accurate, plus a 19" flatpanel doesn't weigh much to begin with. Our rig came with a shelf for our bedroom tv but I didn't care for the location. I installed a small piece of stained oak as a backer board and mounted a fully articulating swivel arm along with a 26" LED tv that weighs under 10lbs.

I mounted a backer board on mine as well. Mounted one in the living area and one in the bedroom.

Just make sure the screws you use are not longer than the entire wall width. It's easy to put in a screw like you use at home into a 2x4 and go clean through a TT wall.

I used the label to hang my tv. Worked just fine, but I wouldn't recommend traveling with it mounted. We remove the tv every time we get on the road.

My only concern would be with bouncing down the road. If in the middle near the axles then ok, but at either end.....you'll probably find it on the floor when you arrive.

I fold mine back to the wall and strap it tight , no problems.

I have a Dutchmen 242RESL and when I talked to Dutchmen, they said there is sufficient backing there to hold a TV. Hint: Go get a fairly long piece of double sided velcro (enough to go around your television with 10 - 20 " extra and some fairly thick foam). Mount your articulating swivel first pinching the velcro (even lengths top and bottom) behind the mounting plate next to the wall. Install your TV onto the other end of the swivel and push it to the wall with the foam between the back of the television and the wall (this will save damage to your wall and television). Use the velcro now to hold the television firmly to the wall.

I also mounted in bedroom of 242RESL. Get 32in LED Vizio slim bezel. Very light weight. Get $14 swing bracket from newegg.com. its designed so you can slip the TV off when traveling. You should only need 2 1/2in screws to hold.

I mounted a piece of plywood onto the wall (glued and screwed). The mounting arm for the TV is through-bolted into the plywood (bolts are brought through the plywood before securing the plywood to the wall). The 32" screen is bolted to the arm and resides in that location when underway.
