Wall mount TV swivel

My TT has a spot marked on the wall in the bedroom for a TV wall mount. DW is bugging me to get one but Im very gun shy about putting holes in my walls. This may seem like a dumb question but are those markings pretty accurate, as I said, Im very gun shy when it comes to putting holes in my walls. I already have a 19" flat screen to use. Thanks for any assistance.

The 19" TV is a good size for a bedroom and it is light enough to leave mounted if done properly. There are many other good tips in the posts above. Don't be afraid to put the required holes, just be sure where you put them before you drill the undersized pilot holes. Use a stud finder - I would not trust the mark which is typically on a sticker.

I had a similar spot marked on my bedroom wall and there is a vertical wood 'stud' in that area. l got a non-articulating flat to the wall TV mount which I installed in that spot and mounted my 22" TV there using long screws whose length is the same as the wall thickness. l leave the TV in place when travelling and so far so good.
  • i have a 28" insignia. it is the lightest tv i found, has the smallest bezel, and has great quality. Its 1080p and was $149 at best buy. they go on sale all the time

oh... it also has an angles power plug, so it sits super flat on the wall should you get a low profile mount. I'm gonna grab another one and swap out the factory 24" it will fit in the factory slot too. big bonus!
