I'd worry peeling it off will rip the wall behind it. They're pretty thin walls. For my house I used wallpaper remover from lowes, Piranha brand. Spray it on, let it soak 30 sec or so, and peel. Easy.
It may be easier to just buy a nicer border and cover it.
