What also cannot be ignored is the fact that in the majority of the USA Diesel is priced HIGHER THAN PREMIUM and that Diesels typically have higher maintenance costs. Add to that the premium for the Diesel and it's unlikely to get you ahead vs, say an Ecoboost or even a "regular" V8.
All you say is true, yet I still think it's going to sell very well and carve out a good chunk of the half-ton market.
I could be wrong, time will tell.
