Service is variable no matter who it is from. My independent mobile RV tech does quality work, but getting things done timely or even getting him to call before coming over is a pain.
Plus he loves camping, which would normally be a good thing because it means he understands this stuff. But half the time if he's not taking care of something quickly it is because he's out camping.
Although it is not his fault the Fan-tastic fan he installed has quality issues, I do blame him for having been able to take 6 trips since it was originally installed and I don't have a definite replacement date yet.
