That warranty repair from Winnebago paid the dealer complete for time and labor at 12 min. for all time involved… getting it in the shop diagnosing the problem, securing the parts, making the repair, filing the required warranty forms, saving old parts for return, and waiting 60 days to be paid…
Again the 12 min. is not at the dealers normal shop rate, but some manufactures made up going rate, there are no minimum times and no time for extraordinary accessibility…
Maybe if the manufactures built a unit that didn’t come with warranty repairs as standard equipment… and the warranty cost the manufacture as much as it cost the dealer things would improve for the consumer and for the dealer…
These flat rate times are not legitimate repair times, they are closer to assembly line build times…
