We're very happy with the Jayco, no so much the dearlership service department.
Why does Jayco get a pass? The dealer didn't build the unit- the defects you had to get repaired were from the factory!
Yes I do like how nobody takes Jayco to task on this. If I told everyone I had the same issues with my Dutchmen, I'm sure everyone would jump on the Dutchmen/Thor/Keystone build sub quality RV's...
Anyway, to the OP and the original question, I think like others said, if you find a good RV dealer, hold on to them like glue. There are so many things that can go wrong on a RV, from electrical, plumbing, structural, tires and axles, you really need your employees to be amazing jack of all trades kind of workers. I suspect at the rate that most dealer pay the employees, these aren't your amazing kind of workers. Plus in many parts of the country this work is all seasonal, so everything comes in all at once from April to October, I'm sure.
What's frustrating is you pay so much for an RV and often there seems to be quality issues or repairs needed. We seem to be OK with letting many things slide and fix them ourselves to save the hassle with the dealer. You wouldn't expect the same thing on a new car or brand new house and have to fix them yourself. Perhaps the dealers count on the fact that you don't want to wait 3 months for your blinds to be fixed and you will just do it yourself...
Having said all this, when I had a problem with my blinds and drawer slides not working after one year, I just fixed them myself :B
