- parcanyExplorerWe have a Jayco 33 rlds and a Jayco Bungalow that I wash and wax 2 times a year. I use Mcguires Cleaner wax and it comes out looking really really nice.
- Ron3rdExplorer IIII used NuFinish on our old trailer (aluminum sided) and it did a fine job. Economical, and lasts a long time.
- djousmaExplorerMy aluminum sided trailer is now 11 years old. In the beginning it was easy to keep up with. As it aged, the oxidation has taken over, and is now a lost cause. Unfortunately, it sits outside 24/7/365 which is the biggest problem. I used to wax it 1-2 year, and then I would get the automotive polishing compound out, and buff and then wax it, but i've given up. Looking forward to my next RV being fiberglass.
- DE88ROXExplorerI wash the TT with Meguiars Wash and wax. Has the wax added to it.
I wax it with Nu finish in the spring and fall.
any black streaks come right off with little to no effort. To avoid black streaks or keep them to a minimum, keep the roof clean. wash mine with regular dish soap, per owners manual. - boss_hoss_1ExplorerI use McGuires Marine Wax on my smooth side Palomino.$32 per 16 oz.=best money ever spent.
- mhardinExplorerI call a mobile trailer wash company about twice a year. They wash and wax for about $100. Sometimes I let them do the truck too for about $30 extra.

Same here it does a great job. No harder than waxing your truck. - OasisbobExplorerI wish I had aluminum siding> I like the old school appearance and it is much easier to work with.

I also use Nu Finish on my 2006 aluminum TT.
I use a car wash/wax during the year and wax everything except the decals with Nufinish; apply Protect All to the decals.
Take my time (typical two partial days) and lots of towels.
Works for me. - rbpruExplorer IIWe all have our favorites and here is mine. I have an aluminum sided Dutchmen.
Before the first trip, wash the winter’s dirt and debris with a long handles brush and soap and water. Then I rinse it well. When dry I wash it again with a long handles brush and Mother’s wash and wax. I repeat the wax on the front face.
In the fall before it is put away, I do the same thing, paying particular attention to the front and the rock shielding plate that gets a lot of debris.
The process takes about 2 hours including drying time and there is not much you can do about small amount of tree sap stain that always seems to remain. I have gutters spouts so I do not get the dreaded black streaks from the roof.
It takes a sunny day to dry and while waiting for it to dry I will sometimes do my TV the same way depending on how ambitious I am feeling.
