Thanks everyone for the great input. I have to believe the previous owner did very little cleaning, the trailer looked like it had been parked next to Yoda's hut in the swamp, probably explaining the lack of issues with the roof. I went ahead and washed the sides this afternoon with a mild soap / water ratio, it was looking really shabby with all the black streaking having sat all winter in the snow, now shines up nice. I'll get a bit more aggressive tomorrow in the areas of accumulation (drip edges)and at least apply wax in these areas. Even managed a RV.net upgrade, adding clothes pins to the eaves.
