Hannibal,
Yes the 89-93 had a mechanical fuel lift pump and the pump's actuator arm had experienced many breakages. Fuel is lifted up to the engine by the pump from the lower mounted fuel tank as liquid doesn't flow uphill. Google it and learn something!

I had made absolutely no reference in any way to the very problematic later used Cummins lift pump as it wasn't if it would fail but when and how many times if replaced with the OEM pump.
The truck was a 2WD and was towed from the business on it's front wheels with the rear up. Was back the next day fixed. FYI, an engineering business is a professional office not a rookie backyard mechanic's grease pit like you may have and repairs are not done or allowed in the parking lot of a business office. Perhaps this is news to you?
I don't need to Google it. I already knew this. You're the one pulling fictitious problems out of the air trying to make a case for your disdain for Dodge and Cummins.
And yes I'm fully aware of your geeky pencil pusher book reference job as you have no mechanical knowledge or skills whatsoever. Therefor you should probably refrain from making up problems on vehicles you've never owned for parts that didn't exist. I no longer even own a Dodge. But I'm not going to deny the fact that the Cummins is the best engine ever put in a pickup truck. And the truck itself has proven five times to me to be one of the best as well.
