Water damaged travel trailer
I saw a 2008 Fleetwood Pioneer 18 travel trailer for sale for $2990 at a store around me so I called and the salesman told me that the trailer has slight water damage on the bathroom floor which came from a leaky seal where the back and side wall meets. There is also a little water damage on the floor above the wheel well. The salesman told me that you can't see the water damage unless you feel around for it and it should cost about $200 bucks to fix it up by cutting out the bathroom linoleum and replacing the wood. He said I should also reseal the whole trailer just in case and that way i'll also seal the leaky wheel well.
I used to do a little work on Rv's back in the day and I feel like I could tackle this problem but what do you guy's think about the water damage issue? The place was honest enough to not hide the water damage issue even though you can't see it so should I trust them when they say it's only small leaks that could be easily fixed? I've never dealt with water damage so I don't know how easy or not something like that is to fix.
I plan on looking at the trailer Monday so I figured i'd feel around the water damaged spots and if it seemed to extensive I would probably leave it. But if it comes down to it, if I replace some flooring and seal the trailer again would I be good to go? The rest of the trailer looks immaculate there is not a spot or stain anywhere on the thing from the pictures that I can see. Thanks for any help.
