Our fiver came with one built into the docking station. I carry two filters, one I use exclusively at Coleman Lake as they are on well water and and I get 2 to 3 trips out of it before it becomes usless with sediment. The second one I use on all other trips. It is a 5 micron filter and captures a lot of junk.
