When main flame lights off a milivot signal is generated and goes back to control board via spark electrode & wire. No return signal....control board drops DC power to gas valve and it closes.
Spark electrode needs to be in the main flame, needs to be clean, have a good ground, the ceramic have no cracks and the high voltage wire no cracks in insulation and a good tight clean connection.
I think I have all of that, when i get home later this week I'm going to buy a new electrode and try that, its only $15.
