I do not use a regulator on the city water as when I have tried along with my water filter, I could not get water out of the shower.

The problem you may have had with the regulator is that "strainer" in the inlet of the regulator may be pointing the wrong way. I had a similar problem and someone from this forum told me to turn that strainer around so that it points into the regulator and that made all of the difference. Problem is many of the supply spigots have one of those "check valves" in them and when that little "tongue" in it is pushed back from the strainer, it causes the check valve to limit water pressure to almost a trickle. Give it a try, It'd be disaster for you to have a line blow inside your TT from to much line pressure because you are not running a pressure regulator.
