I use Turtle Wax Ice Liquid Wax.

It's a clear liquid wax that does not leave any white residue. Easy to apply and remove. I apply it, polish it off and buff it out. It IS a time consuming project which I break up into 2-3 days usually. I wax the entire TT once a year and redo the front a couple times a year. IMHO waxing the TT is worth doing. It does keep it looking very nice and new and it helps with the black streaks also. I compare my TT to some of my friends who don't wax and there is a very big difference. It's a personal preference. Wax on... Wax off.
