waxing to increase mpg

I would like some feedback and perhaps personal experiences in how a good wax job on the front or your TT improved your mpg. I know that waxing is important for proper care of the TT skin and that air will move with less resistance over a smooth surface as opposed to a rough one. So I am simply looking for your story of how waxing improved your mpg and how much improvement if any? Thanks!

  • Scrubbing and waxing the whole RV takes me a couple of days and I'm so tired I sleep well both for the effort and for the looks of the RV. I agree it probably can't increase the MPG in any measureable way. It has the aerodynamic properties of a brick.
  • What did I miss??
Op is asking if waxing his TT will help his MPG and you all are telling him slowing down will help mileage.
Maybe he already is driving slow. But that's not what he is asking.
  • Waxing my rig dramatically increased my mileage because when I was done I was too tired to drive anywhere to go camping...
  • Waxing an airplane moving at 150+ MPH probably saves some fuel, but for the RV, it really does not matter. They are not aerodynamic, so slowing down works the best to improve MPG.

    Fred.
  • Waxing makes cleaning the bug goo off easier.
Best way to increase MPG is slow down.
