I thought I'd followup here - I tried a different camera system from Furrion - their Observation Camera System. That's the one that's supposed to work on the open road. I had the same experience - it worked while parked around cover but once out of my carport, nothing. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that my camper is Aluminum not fiberglass and the aluminum is reflecting the signal.
