Try 6, with 4 links under tension as mentioned and see what your weights are, again weighing the three times. Since you have the round bar system you should be ok with only 4 links under tension due to the design of the wd bars. Just double check everything to make sure nothing can bind or hit.
The round bar system unfortunately does not offer as much fine tuning capability as the trunion system, but it is still a very good system!!!

For Cow's setup with the round bar system, that is true regarding the number of chain links. But for a trunion bar system, especially with a top mount coupler, there generally needs to be at least 5 chain links under tension, possibly more so the "lug" at the bar end (hitch end) does not hit the trailer frame as I mentioned previously. Not as much of a chance with a trunion system with a bottom mount coupler, but one should still verify everything clears.
