WD Hitch (3rd chain link or 4th chain link)

You can do all this weighting and talking about how many links hanging but the real question is how does it tow? For over 20 years I have been towing various trailers with various pickups and never had to put this much thought or time into it. I walk over to the pile of hitches and pick one that looks set about right for the truck trailer combo I'm going to tow, set the hitch on the ball and see how much squat there is and decide if the hitch is about the right height, if hitch looks good then hook up the equalizer bars and level out the truck and trailer. There has been a time or two I have stopped while towing and added or dropped a link on the equalizers to improve handling.
