WDH - Spring Bar (Round) will periodically drop out

When towing with our WDH and round spring bars, one side will periodically drop out of the hitch head. It is always the same side and usually happens when going over a high slope (i.e. parking lot or CG entrance) or when making a tight turn. We do keep the propane tank on this particular side empty most times when traveling. We have looked at both catches and they appear to be identical??? Any suggestions?

    I had this happen because the pins were worn, as were the bars. Try replacing the pins first. That may be the least expensive thing to try first.

    If they are older ones, they could be worn. We had this happen with an older set of round bars. Tight turns are usually the times ours would drop out.

    If you grease the bars a lot you might have a build up inside the head and its not letting the bars slide the hole way up to engage the locks.
