Ive purchased a used drawtite v5 hitch and on 2 occasions one of the bars has fell out of the hitch, Am I not getting it hooked up correctly/

Not sure on the drawtite but on my Pro Series there is a spring pin that holds the bars in place. I can hear and feel it engage when I raise the bars in place. Does your hitch have some type of pin to hold the bars in place?
