My 5500 weighs 10,220 lbs empty (diesel and DEF full) with just the spare tire, side steps, gooseneck, receiver, steel deck and two storage boxes. This does not even take account for occupants, gear, two horse mats and double truss extension...
No bed, spare tire,running boards or hitch. I'm carrying the wiring and plumbing (extensions and trims) for fuel, back-up camera and other misc. stuff under the back seats. I have an after market pressure treated 2X4 with NAPA mud flaps zip-tied to the frame. It helps getting the second look from authorities while getting things finalized.
