It's just lovely parked next door to one of those when it fires up at 3am.
If you can hear the sound of gas HW heater firing up at night, you need better insulation in your trailer.
No ... 2oldman doesn't need better insulation.
His neighbor needs to learn to have their propane water heater turned on A LOT LESS. i.e. ... Only turn it on maybe - once or twice during daylight hours - and then for maybe only 45 minutes each time.
This will both reduce propane consumption for the neighbor and help 2oldman get a better nights sleep.
(I'm convinced that many RV owners out there don't REALLY know how to use them for good politeness, good efficiency, and good long term reliability.)
It amazes me that there are that many people that camp who have issues with almost everything others do...
too many lights, not enough lights, AC too loud, radio on, outside tv, dogs, kids, Now a loud water heater...
jeez.... I guess maybe they should camp somewhere NOWHERE close to civilization ...
Or ............... "others" could spent a little (more?) time on these kind of forums so as to learn how to be better camping neighbors such that "many people" that wind up camping around them weren't negatively impacted. ;)
(Or alternatively .......... folks could spent more time carefully shopping for their RV and reject the rigs with too-loud built-in generators and/or propane appliances before they buy -> maybe then RV manufacturers would begin to get the message and put more consideration into better designed/installed RV systems in the first place.)
