It pretty much stays between 1500 and 2000 RPM, and frankly, the truck sounds like it's "bored" pulling my camper. I have never been able to stay in cruise control in hilly country before now.
I also love the short turning radius, even for a long bed. Not as quick as my F250 shortbed, but much more maneuverable than my son's F350.
Also a much much smoother ride when loaded.
