Called Discount Tires and he said 7" is the lowest rim width that
they will install 285's on. So I asked if they would meet the max
load rating with that 7" rim and of course he said no guarantee since
its out of the manufacturer spec. for minimum rim width. But sure
they would carry heaver loads than 265's. He did say they would fit without
rubbing.
