Weigh the trailer and get the real tongue weight. ;)
There is a way to use a bathroom scale (google it) or you can buy a Sherline TW scale for 140.00.
As an example of the TW, my posted dry TW was 475# or so as per the mfg.
When trailer optional equipment (AC, elite package and other packages) was added , the mfg did not weigh the trailer again as it left the factory.
Upon delivery I then added one 75# battery and full 30# tanks, i was told it would be about 750#. Well, it was until i loaded up the trailer with all my stuff which wasn't so bad until my DW added her stuff and im now proud to admit my real TW is about 950#.:S
You can always blame the DW if all else fails.
Thank you...good advice and I'm doing that.
The coach has only "Standard" equipment...no options.
Fortunately I've got some pull at the dealership....I'm having it filled with fresh water(Tank up front) and weighed there in service...I'll have 2 adults on the A frame as well and read it then(Est 400lbs).
I'll post results for anyone that's interested after.
again, all....Thank you!! There is some great info here that's enabled me to proceed or not.
Best I can do before deciding to take ownership or not.
