Weight distribution hitch question
I just bought a Passport 153ML....my 2013 Honda ridgeline states "We don't recommend using a weight distribution hitch" max towing is 5000lbs hitch weight with all my passengers is rated for 550-6...

good idea to weigh the trailer , just as important to take the truck to a scale too , all loaded for a trip plus all persons on board.
Your real remaining payload will show you where the trailers tongue weight will fit into the equation.
Know the true limitations of the TV . Watch axle and tire weight ratings.
If you feel comfortable enough to move forward with this combo, i would research which type/brand of WDH will offer the best sway control towing with a relatively light combo. Some WDH's systems work better with larger heavier units.
