Well, well, well....That was disappointing.
I just got back from weighing the tongue Dry, with no batteries or propane...
Let's just say for now that I'm contacting Keystone directly before posting more on this publicly....WoW.:E
More to come later....This is why we check and re-check stated weights folks.:R
Many do not weight before they buy. I have done so on both my last two cause even my first popup had a much higher than stated "dry" tongue. Kudos to you sir!
On another very serious note; IGNORE people who are clueless about Honda's.
I state as a matter of fact...Honda does NOT restrict the use of a WDH. They never have. It's a warning...nothing more...nothing less. It's simply worded poorly in the opening statement. READ THE WHOLE STATEMENT! They clarify in the most simple terms "why" and its due to their concern of it not being adjusted properly.
These jokers who think the unibody construction is inferior to frame on body are just that...jokers. They never looked at a Pilot or Ridgeline "FRAME". When they do...they will be surprised.
And to compare body on frame vehicles, most of which with tow ratings more than double of any Honda, is most ridiculous.
Old Honda statement;
Honda's NEW statement for Pilots and Ridgelines.
Agreed...Thank you for that and I did my own research as well...The frame of the Honda for a TV is fine.
You all chimed in here and its appreciated.
I spoke to the rep for our area...His reply at first was "There's no way the tongue weighs that much"...I stated we weighed it...His reply? "Oh, well good thing I didn't lie then"....lol.
He then proceeded to tell me to stop talking like a customer.(I used to be in the industry) .....I always listened to my customers....
Then he insulted the truck and said to buy a real truck if I was concerned in relation to them lying so dramatically about their weights instead of addressing the question.....lol...Shocker.....What a joke!
Way to lose a sale but they don't give a ****...I'm just a drop in the ocean.
I'm currently in negotiation for a 2015 Lance 1575 on consignment. ....Tongue weighed in at 395 with battery, electric tongue jack, dry, and with the full weight distribution hitch/bars/sway in the front compartment inside the optional pass-thru storage tray AND ON TOP OF having a butt load of options already installed at the factory.....
Just thought you all that contributed here would appreciate the update....Thanks again all.
