I'm kinda in the same boat as you, OP. Just got a ram 3500 dually and I'm pretty sure I'm still going to use my WD hitch, while I know I can probably get away with the 500lbs tounge weight better safe than sorry, probably won't crank it down as much though as I did with my ram 1500.
I'm going to go out this weekend, hitch up, and see how it handles with and w/O the WD though.
