I have carried my Lance campers since 2005 on a Dodge Ram 2500 (Lance 1030) and a Dodge Ram 3500 SRW (Lance 1055 & Lance 1050S).Yesterday, I traded my SRW for a 2013 RAM 3500 DRW.Despite my wife's comments "It's ugly with those bubble hips and lights on top", she really enjoyed our 300 mile trip today.The truck is quiet, powerful, and rides smooth enough for a truck that size and weight.And the instrument cluster and built in items are great.The SRW gave me 91,000 miles with only 2 returns to the service department for trouble codes. The 2nd visit, after diagnosis, I decided to replace the failed component myself.Now, if I can just figure out all the things and the proper words to speak to the computer - "Radio on" - "Satellite station 90 (Nascar)", "Eject passenger :)" etc.

Congrats on the new 13 Dodge and good luck getting used to all the spacecraft controls with the touch screen and voice commands. I found that I hardly ever use the voice commands though because it never understands what I am saying.

MrKoje - Same thing with my Ford. I guess I don't speak clearly enough.

First picture (I can't believe I haven't taken some pictures). Truck had the gooseneck towing package installed. I received the Reese Elite Gooseneck Pop-In ball kit yesterday.

I am still working on the tie downs and just received the Atwood jack extenders so I can load the Lance.

I got the 3:73 gears with the 68RFE automatic. Same gears and tranny as my 2008.

Just took a trip in it today over to our hunting land and to check the game camera. The camera takes 5 second videos. Here are snips of what I found:

Wow, lucky guy. I have a 14 on order because we couldn't locate a 13 anywhere near us. It was supposed to ship today but I don't see that the Ram website has updated from "Production Scheduled" Oh well, I'll have to live with seeing your pictures of your truck. Get em posted! What gears did you get? What Transmission?

Congratulations! No more white knuckle trips when cross winds try to spoil the fun. Our dually handles like a dream and actually rides better than our old SRW.

Congrats!! Built in training wheels is a great addition.

Back when I was hauling a big S&S with slide out I traded my 01 CTD 2500 for an 05 CTD 3500 dually. Night and day difference!! Handled like a sports car, well, ALMOST!!!! :B

I have to get the Atwood Jack Swingout Brackets to extend the jacks on the 1050S before I can load it. Also have to get my Torklift tiedown brackets installed, etc. etc.

When I do, I will post pictures. I also use a foam insulation sheet underneath the camper that raises it a bit.

I did back it under my son's 820 which has the swingout brackets and I had clearance. The 1050S is a few inches wider than the 820 so I feel good about having enough clearance to avoid scraping those "hips".
