Well I'm rolling coal

I have always wanted a diesel truck. I never would let myself spend the money on it. I bought a 2013 ram 2500 Hemi motor last August. I have been keeping an eye on a certain truck at the dealership. It was the last 2013 diesel they had left. It was my favorite color which is silver. Yesterday they gave me a heckuva deal on it and I bought it. I do not need to diesel but since I make money I want to diesel. My camper is only 6500 pounds but I will enjoy myself pulling it. The sound of it makes me smile every time I crank it. Here's the only photo I have so far.

    All of the Ram factory tow mirrors are now power and heated with manual flip up, the same on the standard mirrors. I bet he flipped the mirrors up for the picture but whatever works for you guys is fine.

    On my 98 I installed the flip up powered towing mirrors and ran them down unless I was towing. Thought it looked stupid with them up driving solo.

    Now with the 11 Dually I leave them up all the time. The reason is with the big spot mirror on the bottom when flipped up it's easier to use the spot than when it's down.

    It is more proportionate having them up with a Dually. That is what I tell my self!

    Too funny! I just bought a charcoal grey Prius XSP. Wife will use the truck for her short commute.

    please don't drive around with your tow mirrors flipped out when you are not towing, it makes you look funny. and there is a good chance you will end up on the duramax forum towing your ghost trailer. we have a lot of fun over there laughing at ghost trailers.


    I think I'll make sure my mirrors are always up now.
    Just kidding of course. It won't fit thru my garage door with them up/out.

    OP, that's a really nice new Ram. Should be a blast pulling that camper around with that diesel.
    I've worked for Cummins for 20 years. I have some realatives that work at plant where they build the engine for the Ram. We appreciate you all buying these trucks and keeping us employed.:C

    I never pulled the big west coast mirrors on my F-350 in...just too much hassle to readjust them.

    I don't pull a ghost trailer but will say that I like being able to see the bottom of my rear wheels when I look at the mirrors. When the mirrors are retracted I can only see just the top of my tires and traffic
    so seeing curbs is hard and parking b/t the white lines is difficult to see without manually adjusting them PIA! I still don't ride with them flipped up though.

    my Silverado only has power to part of the mirror but if im not towing they are pushed in. It just looks really silly to have these big mirrors if you are not towing. adjusting a mirror does not take that long, add it to you check list before you pull away with your trailer. takes me a min or two. just trying to save him a little ridicule from other guys
