As a group, the members and posters here on the truck camper forum are pretty independent that way; not easily intimidated by anecdotes but also pretty well educated in their choice of recreating in a TC.
It does get very challenging when we know so little about a subject we over react on the side of caution. It is a good thing to be cautious, but it sure can be easy to be overly so.
