Were older travel trailers built better?

I have a few main companies that I like today, almost none are based in Indiana because of quality issues. People are just having their trailers fall apart in 1-2 years.... Warranties are 3 months to service, etc.

I'm curious were travel trailers from 2008 and older built better? I noticed on some the cabinets just seemed "better" from the "older" days.

What about pre-2000 were those built better?

I know, I wish I could afford an Airstream. LOL.

  • yes older was better .they put things together right, now they push things down the line so fast the worker doesn,t have time to do it right .pride in quality is gone. its all about money.
  • Don’t fool yourself we have a friend that has a 1 year old air stream that he ended up having to visit a dealer in Canada to have multiple issues repaired including leaks and electrical problems . I do thing older was better we had a 2008 hitchhiker by NUWA had it for 12 years no problems other than minor wear and tear issues but older rv’s were built with heavy materials so maybe they were stronger. . It is a toss of the dice these days no matter what manufacturer or how much you spend you could get a good one or one with problems.
