To close this out, we spent the Holiday weekend up near Troy. Stayed at the Yaak River NF campground just a few miles west of town on hwy 2. Awesome campground, not crowded, not even full most of the weekend, scored one of the spots right on the river.
Huge spread out sites with paved road and campsite pads. Nice for unloading the camper on since we were there a while.
Seen the sights in the area.
Did a bunch of fishing in the Yaak and Kootenai. Fishing was ok, kids did Better than me, lol.
Highly reccomend the area for a mtn camping getaway.
