Wet around bottom of slide

Hello,

I live in Northwest Missouri where we have been getting a TON of rain, 2-3 inches every other day it seems.

I am noticing around the edge of the slide towards the front of the trailer, I am seeing the carpet is wet and under the tv stand also has some water.

The trailer is parked out in the back on unlevel ground with the slide out. Is this not advisable?? Which seal(s) on the slide should I look at??

Thanks in advance for the suggestions and help.

  • When I run my slide out the weather seal blocks the slide's water gutter ends. I have to tuck the seal so the water can run off the end.
  • Tip the trailer the other way and this will stop or place on level ground !
  • Odds are your manual tells you not to put the slides out if the trailer is not level. If the top of the slide is sloped towards the trailer it increases the likelihood of leaking.
  • The way I see it, our slide has a better weather seal when retracted.
