Sounds like you did your best to make the best out of a bad situation. And, you did get a few good hours in on the boat one day! Thankfully you had a TT to crawl into to sleep off the rain and fever.

I can't imagine leaving the stinky slinky behind. Mine never leaves the holding place (bumper) except when I use it.
