The folding steps don’t stick out very much. I’d say they are 8 inches deep or so. Torklift site may have their measurements. They will fold down over the trailer tongue, so that’s probably going to be an issue.
You might also look at the Fox Landing that Arctic Fox makes. It’s designed to fold down over the trailer hitch. You probably could make something similar. I think something like that is a better option if you plan to keep the trailer hitched.
