Have never heard until this thread that Adco covers cause damage.....something most of us apparently didn't know. Can't imagine what it is, because the fabric is soft and breathable. Whatever. However, a tarp truly is not considered a good choice since it's abrasive and not breathable. Not breathable = moisture accumulation = possible mold and mildew. Also, with windy weather, the abrasive texture can cause scuffing and scrathes. IMHO, if you don't decide to invest in a true "RV Cover", you're better off not covering at all. If you are in a freeze/thaw part of the country, covering is more important since the snow/ice gets into the little crevices and then when it thaws it's very possible to have water intrusion....your worst enemy. Our ROO was covered from winter #1 and went with it to its new family and was in near perfect condition after 7 seasons. We store our trailer under cover 24/7 regardless, but considered the Adco extra protection for a reasonable price. Our ROO looked like brand new when it moved to it's new home. Protects decals, also.
Re snow accumulation during the winter, covered or not, you need to haul out the ladder and a push broom and carefully brush it off. Those in the snow belts can best tell you how much snow before you need to get busy, but the weight is the issue there.
