what defines a 3/4 ton?
If it's payload capacity, then why isn't a properly equipped F150 considered a 3/4 ton truck?

Chevrolet's and GMC's 3/4 ton trucks (C20) from the 70's thru the 90's always had semi floating axles.
Ford's 3/4 ton trucks (F250) from the 70's to date have mostly been a full floating axle with the exception of the light duty F250 produced for a ~couple of years during the late 90's which were semi floating.
