Our teardrop is set up for serious boondocking with a 185W solar panel and 150AH AGM battery. One of the concerns I have since we often camp in well shaded sites or in the case of bad weather is supplying enough current to keep the battery charged with out hauling a generator. The tear has all LED lights, sat TV and radio, and a Waeco refrigerator that all run on the 12V system.
Harbor Freight had 16' 6ga jumper cables on sale. I cut one set of clamps off and soldered a set of lugs on one end and cut off about a foot and a half and soldered on 50A Anderson Power Poles. This will allow me to charge the battery from the tow vehicle more quickly than through the seven pole trailer plug. why the Power Poles? The battery sits in a battery box with the shut for the Vectron battery monitor and putting a set of battery clamps with out shorting out would be risky.
