I was able to do something to our TT today that I had wanted since we bought it...I installed a battery disconnect switch. I ordered the Blue Sea Systems marine battery switch off Amazon, and was able to get it installed today. It was fairly straight forward. I mounted it to the end of the battery box, and installed a wire to the breakaway switch so that it bypasses the off/on feature and is always "on". Now I can turn the battery on and off without having to even remove the battery box cover, yet if I forget to turn the switch on before towing, the breakaway system will still work.
I was concerned that the #10 stainless steel bolts might rub on the battery inside the box, so I dropped a piece of clear acrylic in there between the battery and the bolts to prevent rubbing while going down the road.
