- Doug33ExplorerWhat did I do to my TT lately? I looked at it, and hoped that the snow on the roof would eventually melt!
Yesterday it was near 60 degrees, so I'm getting excited to de-winterize and get out and camp sometime before Easter. - facoryExplorerThat really sucks! Did you have insurance? If so, did it cover the damage?
- love2rvcampExplorerTook ours to the dealer to have a new roof, new sky light , new awning topper and new interior panelling. Yes folks a limb fell during our recent ice/snow storm and went through the roof.
- jbrowningExplorerNext thing I might do is make it to where I can use the water system when it is below freezing. Still thinking on that though.
Jim - PUCampinExplorerMy 180CK has the double bed in the back corner with the pantry at the foot, a single bunk over along with the shirt wardrobe. So it feels like a cave, especially where I sleep on the outside directly under the bunk. Doesn't bug me but the one overhead light on the ceiling does nothing for our bed. So ran a whole new 12V circuit from the fuse panel under the pantry up the wall, along the inside of the bunk and installed 2 new lights near the head of the bed, and one up in the cave area of the top bunk. Now I can read at night without having to use a flashlight!
- dewhitExplorerI greased my wheel bearings today.. Tomorrow new tires.
- facoryExplorerBought a 1/2" cordless impact wrench to keep the lugs tight on the trailer. No more hand tightening.
- Redterpos3ExplorerJust purchased a Craftsman "evolv" 77 piece ratchet and socket set. This one was a small carry case, with small sockets both SAE and metric. Slowly seeing what tools are needed on the road.
- iv_nurseExplorerBought 2 Maxx Air covers and a socket for the drill to use on the stabilizers.
- TravelingTeacheExplorerWe are in the midst of a big renovation project http://teacherontheroad.weebly.com/.
This weekend hubby installed a new outside plug after I shared BarneyS's idea for that. He was able to run it to two new inside outlets, one in the bedroom and one in the living room for our little electric heaters.
He also created a headboard from two of the old cabinet doors, since we moved our bed out of the slide in the bedroom. He has it almost finished, one more color to go on, then it will be done. He is going to paint the cupboards in the top of the slide to match the headboard. Hubby has planned out the drawer unit that will now go into the slide in the bedroom, where the head of the bed used to sit.
We have also ordered a new toilet and are in the process of finishing the reno on the shower, putting in a slim shower tray to replace the old tub/shower pan that was 16" off of the floor to step over. He is cutting down two of the walls to make the opening wider and allow more light into the shower.
We also ordered and received the new Allure flooring that will go in the LR/kitchen area as well as the bathroom.
SO glad to see some warm weather and sunshine the past couple of days here in the "sunny" South! Tired of the cold, ice and rain.:W
