Probably should consider rear axle weight, too. Also, isn't there a penalty to driving dynamics with the DRW? Can the pairs of wheels turn independently like with an open differential on a SRW?
I've never noticed a penalty of "driving dynamics":h. Having towed with both SRW and DRW trucks...The towing experience in my opionion as well as quite a few others on this and other forums is the dually offers more stability when towing, expecially when on mountainous, curvy roads. If one of my rear tires goes flat, I still have another tire to keep me going until I can fix the flat..RAWR on my truck is 9750# , AAM rates it at 11,800#, (300mm), and a GVWR of 14,000# , also with a 4:10, has a GCWR of 37,500#...
