I could see someone not wanting to get by with a srw pickup for a larger 5th wheel. (Over 15,000 lbs) The little bit you gain going to a dually 1 ton might be enough to make you happy but if you really want a significant step up in capacity and can afford it you could get a class 6 crew cab. Personally I would not want to tow a little 20,000 lb RV with anything bigger than a class 6 truck.
