Having run over 100k towing and a heck of a lot of mountains, I use the Tow Haul a lot, even in city driving, stop lights, it helps the engine up to speed. As soon as we start getting to hills the button goes on. Some hills I run 3500 rpm at 35mph so don't try to kill the engine it was built with the tranny in mind and like wise .
And I have found the fuel millage isn't that much different diff either.
Hope this helps, and do use it as there are hills that will get ya.
Cheers
Chuck
