I just replaced a fender skirt today. $300 shipped. Yes, that is just one side. I hope yours is cheaper. Good to hear that your rig pulled so well when that happened. Ive seen a FW right behind me hit 85 mph before and it was good to know it had LT tires and good bearings. I dont know what bearings you have but with so many being from china it's worth checking them more often. Ive seen axle/plate/drum units on Ebay.
I do like the maintainence free aspect of them, but probably should have replaced them all last year on their 5th birthday. Dexter warranties them for 5 years/100,000 miles.
