What happens when you lose a tire at 70-75 MPH?

With the right equipment... Nothing.:B At least as far as safety goes. We just returned from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Upon parking in front of our house, we were shocked to find a passenge...

We discussed that as a possibility.
It is possible. I do think that it is highly unlikely that a swerve manuver could cause a good bearing to fail. They are put under a lot more stress when backing into my driveway. And from the looks of what is left, it ran for quite awhile before it came off.

So while I see your point of view...And it is possible... Nobody can say for certain. But if it had happened that close to home, I would think it would still be at least a little warm. It was stone cold.
